Why do a lot of TV shows go with such extreme widescreen when nobody’s TV is actually shaped like that. Just watching foundation now and it looks great except for like 40% of my screen being taken up by black bars at the top and bottom. For movies I can understand it works in the cinema but at home? LPT: If you own a Smart TV that’s using a Streaming device, Apple TV, Chromecast etc.. turn Wi-Fi off on the Smart TV. Having two devices both connected to a 5Ghz Wi-Fi connection can cause interference if they are too close together. Had no idea why my ATV was buffering videos, turned out to be interference related. Or just hardwire your streaming device to ethernet if it’s an option. That would work even better. submitted by /u/mankdemer
