Wood tile in bathroom?

Wood tile in bathroom? What are your thoughts on faux wood tile in bathrooms? I have seen beautiful wood tile that really does mimic hardwood in kitchens, living and dining rooms, etc. But because it is obviously fake in a bathroom do you avoid using it and just stick to traditional tile? submitted by /u/Ok-Plankton1673

Tile Above Cabinets?

Tile Above Cabinets? Hi all. We bought a builder grade new construction recently and are starting work to add character and upgrades to it. We plan to add a backsplash to the kitchen (possibly square zellige or similar — see inspo photos). We really want to do the tile all the way up and around the kitchen window. However, we are concerned it would look off to have …

Second guessing my approach to this bathroom. Originally wanted to go for a dark green subway tile look for the shower space, but I wonder if that makes the room overly monochromatic. What might be the best direction from here. Should I play it safe and go with white tile in the shower?

Backsplash tile recommendations?

Backsplash tile recommendations? I just picked out this cabinet (Brighton cabinetry – frosted maple) and countertop (MSI Q – Calcatta laza night) combination. My kitchen doesn’t get much natural light so I really wanted a light/bright color theme. I think the frosted maple needed some contrast so I went with the more dramatic dark veining. Any backsplash recommendations? I kno…

Opinion on tile layouts

Opinion on tile layouts So, we are having the same tiles inside and outside, with a very low threshold between the inside and out. The internal tiles come in random sizes or uniform, external only come in a uniform size. This means that outside our only option really is to lay in a brick bond layout, my wife really wants random internally, but as they will essentially …

Kitchen floor tile

Kitchen floor tile I am a designer and I’m having the hardest time picking my own kitchen floor tile! I thought I wanted Terracotta floors, but decided against it because there is too much upkeep and they can be problematic if not sealed properly. Most of the porcelain tiles that are intended to look like cotto tiles look too fake for me. Considering Quarry tiles,…

Covering up tile?

Covering up tile? I’d love to hear any advice on how to do a cheap facelift in this bathroom. The rest of our house is mid-century modern: dark wood, white and black lines. Can I paint the tiles dark and make it a moody vibe in here? submitted by /u/Curious_Concept_2089

Would you use the same tile in entryway and upstairs bathroom?

Would you use the same tile in entryway and upstairs bathroom? Let me explain-Condo has entryway downstairs that is small and leads to hardwood stairs. Bathroom is upstairs. The upstairs already has lvp in one bedroom and carpet in the other. I’m trying not to add any more differing flooring. What are your thoughts about matching tiles in the entryway? Also any links to an idea would be great. Style is mode…

Transition between wood floors and tile

Transition between wood floors and tile I am building a home and will have tile in bathrooms and engineered wood in hallways/bedrooms. In every house I’ve lived in there has always been a transition piece above the wood/tile, usually in the color of one or the other, to serve as a transition. In this setup I’m going to be able to have the tile and wood be the same level. With that sai…
