There’s a transparent rectangle on top of all of my shots. Is there a way for me to fix this myself?

How to achieve shots like these? Was wondering how to get something similar to this. submitted by /u/CheeseAtTheTop
How do I get my shots like this? It’s a photo of Brett Smiley by Gered Mankowitz (1974) What I love about it is the softness of the orange light and the shadows, along with the fact that it’s highly detailed (you can see every hair on their head) but not TOO detailed, there are still some softer areas in the photo and it’s not to grainy. How do I do this? Any camera/lighting/ed…

Macro shots? Hi guys, I came here recently and asked about a camera, I ended up looking through some and got a decent deal on a canon eos 2000d, since then I have grabbed a pair of extension tubes and started macro photography on my invert collection. Getting to the point, how would I go about making my focus more “overall” on these macro shots? Is that even…

Which of these shots feels more impactful? Moro rock in Sequoia National park. I’m having trouble deciding which one to share. Or which one to share first! I am wondering which image is more engaging to the viewer and why you think so? Thank you! submitted by /u/FaultlineConsistent
Shooting Single shots vs. Burst? When I’m photographing people/portraits/family with either my mirrorless or DSLR I almost never shoot in bursts. Never. Just a couple of frames here an there. Recompose a bit, new shot, maybe two, three. When I see photographers on Youtube, many of them are using their (mirrorless) camera like a machine gun, shooting at the max. FPS and just goi…
bnw shots in the SONY RX100 2? the bnw shots can be done only for FINE and STANDARD image quality, not RAW and RAW+JPEG. Is there a way to shoot bnw in RAW or RAW + JPEG format?. Also it says processing image and takes a couple of seconds for processing for bnw shots, is the processor just slow? submitted by /u/Fantastic_Question29
Why are these shots blurry/soft? Trying to learn from some mistakes from today, where I botched some great shots. Ran through DxO PureRaw3. 1050mm, 1/1800ss, f5.6, iso500. Used a flat railing to brace myself. 97degree day at 4pm plenty of light submitted by /u/Exponent_0
Water shots? I have been enjoying the world of b&w photography with contact printing. This carried over into some of my digital prints. These are shot from the water, about 35-40mm, around f6 or 7. Open to any and all feedback. submitted by /u/CalifornianSon
Why are my “macro” shots blurry ? Hello. I’m adding some of my “macro” shots. They’re made using a D5500 and a Sigma 105mm lense. I rarely use a tripod but the lense has a rather good stabilization. I’m also pretty stable, hand-wise. I don’t think the blur comes from shacking. I tried using a smaller aperture, or a wider because I thought the blur may come from, simply, an out …
Shots from hong kong Walked around with my camera for a few days. Took these shots around parts of the island. It’s a lovely destination. Enjoy! submitted by /u/vBv__
Are these shots over edited in your opinion? Title. Did I push the edits too far for a passable grade? submitted by /u/aremjay24
How to take shots of insects in macro? Before they run? Tried to take some pictures of bees and similar things but before you can get proper distance/MF they run or get scared. submitted by /u/GroundbreakingMud135
Macro shots, thoughts on them? Had my 50mm sigma f2.8 macro about two weeks. Wondering if I could get some feedback on composition, lighting and how these would compare to other insect shots. All handheld and single shots, video LED lighting. I’m happy with them but struggling to avoid reflections (such as the blown out highlights on the spider) and light diffusing as evenly …

What do you think about the composition of these shots? I do urban exploration and I combine that hobby with my interest in photography. I’m constantly looking to improve the composition of my shots, their look and the story they tell. I’ll be dropping my favorite shots from my expeditions here. I am aware of the lousy quality of some of these pictures (either because I took the pictures when I wasn’…

How can I improve my shots? I have been shooting macros for quite some months now so asking if these can be done in a better way? All are single shots, never been so successful with stacked shots. I need more advice, constructive criticism for the shots so that I can improve. Camera: Lumix S5 with manual Laowa 90mm lens. Thanks submitted by /u/NeerajJosh
