I’m not sure if I’m overthinking things here or seeing things the wrong way out of inexperience, but I’d love for yall to look at this impromptu pic I shot of my pup. Thi…

Not quite as sharp as it should be?

Not quite as sharp as it should be? So I’m looking for some suggestions. I’ve been taking a few shots with my RF 70-200 f/2.8 and they don’t seem to be quite as sharp as they should be. What am I doing wrong that both cars aren’t sharp?

First time I talked to my coworker and my focal point was just one dot so I missed focused. I have increased it to 9 dots instead of one. On the last photo just put my camera low and held the shutter in burst mode. Was my area s…

Why are my photos not sharp?

Why are my photos not sharp? I took some portraits of friends today and noticed my photos aren’t sharp at all. I was shooting on AP using a 55-210 kit lens on a Sony 6300. Before I go spend $$$ on a new lens (thinking 35-120mm), I’m wondering if the lack of sharpness is equipment limitation or if I’m doing something wrong? I’m doing practice sessions with friends so I can g…

Sharp portrait vs soft portrait?

Sharp portrait vs soft portrait? I have been using the default “detailed” jpeg setting for my portrait because I just like seeing sharp images, but I have noticed a lot of professional portraits have softer facial features. So I want to know when to apply setting to each one and why? submitted by /u/Weather_Only
