What’s the Lighting setup? Hi! This is from the Carhartt WIP SS25 lookbook. What do you guys think – what’s the lighting setup here? Even lights on the background and negative fill behind the camera? And two backlights hitting face? submitted by /u/Chocosticks101
Street photography setup? I’m looking to get into a mirrorless setup for street photography staying in the $600-850 range used or new don’t matter. Thinking about a Sony a6000 or a6400 with a Sony 50mm f1.8. submitted by /u/Foreign_Treat8835
How to Setup Lens Signing? I see videos where sports athletes sign the “lens” but it’s a certain material tapped over the actual lens that they’re signing. What material is it and what marker do i need to get for it. I went to lowe’s to see their plexi glass but it wasn’t transparent enough for the camera. submitted by /u/Responsible_Let_3233
Wildlife setup? Currently I have a7c II + Sony 100-400 and I’m looking to upgrade my current setup for wildlife. With the budget I have I could either get myself: – Sony a1 – Sony 300mm f2.8 (I already have TCs) I feel like I’m gaining more by getting myself the 300mm, since what I’m usually missing is the extra reach (I would use it as a 600mm with 2x tc), but…
What should I do with my camera setup? I’m currently having a Canon EOS 2000D, without a hotshoe pin. I recently had a party event indoors, the lights were off and I had with me a flash from Metz (I don’t know the model exactly). I had to boost my ISO to 6400 and use a 1/50 shutter because my lens is a f/5 and the flash cannot be used it manual due to the missing hotshoe pin. What sh…

WFH setup help? I’m moving in soon and want to plan out a WFH setup that has my station in the living room. My initial thought process is to place my 65 inch TV near the black square, a couch in the green square (I should’ve made the square bigger because I except the couch to be bigger) with my station in the brown (it’s a 55×28” desk) I’m trying to think of d…

Is there I can do about a potentially unethical 401k setup? Most 401Ks I’ve Seen: They offer at least 1 low expense ratio fund/index They are fairly easy to roll over into a 401k or IRA Prior Employer’s Ascensus 401k: It only offers high expense ratio funds and it’s very hard to roll over: Requesting a rollover first requires the participant to set up a notary appointment to notarize the rollover agre…
Suitable lighting setup? I am going to do some head and shoulder portraits. As you can see, the low ceiling of my garage studio means they will have to be seated. I have a three flash Godox SK400 flash system. All the flash units have their own, tripod, umbrella and soft box (1 x large circular, 2 x medium oblong). I also have a snoot fitting. Given I have little overhe…
Is there any downside to this 401k setup? My 401k is with Principal, my worked switched to them at the beginning of 2023 so my 401k transferred from Wells Fargo to them. I’ve been contributing since I was 30 and I’m 38 now. I had some financial struggles these last few years, but things are getting better now. I’ve only been contributing 6% to make sure I get my works full match. Princ…

Is My Nikon D7100 Setup Still Viable, or Should I Upgrade to a Canon R50? Hey folks, I’m reaching out for some advice. In my local Facebook photography group, several members commented that my current setup—Nikon D7100 with a 60mm f/2.8 D, 50mm f/1.8 G, and AF-S 18-55—just isn’t cutting it in today’s photography world. They suggested I resell everything and invest in a Canon R50 instead. What do you all think? Is my …
