High Altitude – Recommended UV filters for Canon R7 + RF 18-150mm lens & RF 10-18? Hello, Ive been using the Canon R7 plus above lenses and initially tried with UV filters for protection. Ive tried a few Hoya filters (e.g. UX II UV) and found the images to be soft.i note others have experienced the same. The camera is way better without the filters. I am heading to Nepal in a few months and ideally do want to add some UV filte…
Canon RF to M42 adapter? I have a Canon R100, and I want to connect it to my telescope for astrophotography. I have an M42 barrel for the telescope, and need an RF to M42 adapter to connect my camera to the barrel. Any brand suggestions? The last one I tried to get just straight didn’t connect to the camera. submitted by /u/YetAnotherHobby4954
Should I sell my RF 50 1.8 and 24 1.8 for a 24-70 2.8L? Howdy everyone, getting back into photography and making my first post here with a question. I recently purchased a used Canon R8 with a 50mm 1.8 and 24mm 1.8 included (both RF). I also have the RF 100-400. I don’t have any particular subjects I like to shoot. I enjoy landscapes, portraits, birds, aviation, etc. I’m considering selling the two …

Is it impossible to manufacture ? Not worth it ? To expensive ? It would be nice for people who would like to get FF lenses displaying their full FOV on APS-C senors. submitted by /…
Canon RF F/2.8 vs F/4? Hi, just want to preface this that you all are great! I’m just a beginner enjoying hikes with the dog and doing wildlife/landscape photography and I’ve learned a lot just from following this sub. Give yourselves kudos, because I sure do! I have a canon EOS R50 with a kit lens 18-45 f/4.5-6.3 and looking to purchase a better workhorse lens. It’s …
Ef to RF adapter or buy RF lenses? So I think I’ve decided to add a Canon RP to my kit. I’ve been shooting for about a year with my t6, I have bought most of my gear used so far. I have a canon 50mm 1.8, the 18-55mm kit lens, a 35-80mm which I’ve hardly ever used, a canon 80-200mm which I’ve actually used more than almost anything, and I just picked up a canon 70-300mm DO IS USM…
EF or RF, is it worth it for a beginner? Hello everyone, my wife and I recently picked up a Canon R50 and love it so far. We are looking at an additional lens and I have had some recommendations on getting the Canon EF 75-300mm but I will have to get the adaptor for it, but at $200 new and since we are relatively novice in our new hobby. It sounded reasonable. However I have also been …
Canon RP with RF 50 mm f/1.8 stm and Rf 24-105 mm f/4-7.1 stm? Hello people, Been asking for suggestions here for the past week. Guess I may post about what I am finally getting. My budget was a bit tight to be honest. Did not want to go above $1200 including glass. Would have been happy to get everything in under $1000. Got a Canon RP refurbished from Canon for $550. Also, the RF 50 mm f/1.8 for $90 and RF…
Canon RF to M4/3 Is there any way to mount RF glass to micro 4/3 cameras? Even in manual mode? Or has Canon locked this down? submitted by /u/billalpert
Torn between Canon RF and Sony FE The Tamron 35-150 and 28-200 are damn near perfect for what I want in a lens, it covers all my needs except no stabilization. The R8 strikes the perfect feature set with nothing I don’t need, and most importantly has full sensor non-line-skipping 4k60 at a reasonable price. I could get the R8 and a 24-105 f4L which has the benefit of fantastic s…
New RF lens I’m in the market for a new RF lens. I’m stuck between the 70-200 2.8 or the 85 1.2 I know they are very different beasts. Currently using the R6 with all ef lenses minus the RF 50 1.8 I have an EF 14mm 2.8, 35 2.0, and 85 1.8 Just sold my sigma 100-400 Mostly shoot portraits, lots of dog photos and landscape. Is it worth it to upgrade the 85 to…
So I have a question about lens hoods on a couple of specific lenses. Do you think I need one on the RF 16 mm F2.8, or the RF 50 mm F1.8? The lenses are the same size, as I’m sure you know. I’m not asking about hoods on other lenses, I have them on my telephotos. Just these, thanks in advance. submitted by /u/EvilPersian
