I googled “telescope with Nikon p1000” and nothing appeared , can anyone with a telescope or Nikon p1000 get these two together and zoom with both maximum zoom to the moon ? Is there anyone who can do this ? Any YouTuber? I took this picture with just a 18×25 mobile telescope and a $200 phone . So imagine a decent telescope that shows the moon in good quality and then you add the Nikon p 1000 on top of the eyepiece and zoom x125 !! submitted by /u/bruce_03yeah

Is the P1000 too oudated? Looking for a P&S for my son’s travel baseball. Reason is I don’t want to drop 3k on a DSLR and lens. Is there a modern alternative? Research shows that Nikon probably won’t replace this model. submitted by /u/en-rob-deraj
