Is the P1000 too oudated? Looking for a P&S for my son’s travel baseball. Reason is I don’t want to drop 3k on a DSLR and lens. Is there a modern alternative? Research shows that Nikon probably won’t replace this model. submitted by /u/en-rob-deraj
