D-Day Site Tour Recommendations in Normandy I am currently planning a trip to France with some time spent in Normandy. Roughly we will be spending two days in the area staying in Bayeux. Areas of special interest I am looking to see is Juno Beach, Omaha Beach, and Point Du Hoc. Obviously I know our time is limited. I was hoping to be able to check out some of the museums in the area, spec…

Day Trip to Normandy from Bayeau

Day Trip to Normandy from Bayeau I’m going to be in Bayeau, France, in a few weeks and would like to see Omaha Beach and visit a relative’s grave. What is the easiest way to get there from Bayeau? Will be taking a train from Paris early in the morning and returning that evening. Thank you! submitted by /u/TrashPanda_924

Is it possible to see Normandy without a car?

Is it possible to see Normandy without a car? My main base will be in Paris, but I would like to see the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer and Mont Saint-Michel. I would prefer to use rail and taxi rather than renting a car. From the research I’ve done, it looks like I could take a train to Bayeux, taxi to the Cemetery and stay in Bayeux for the night. I also see I can get to Mont Sai…
