LPT Request: How to ask how to do something simple at work when you’ve been there a while I think we’ve all had that moment of “at this point I’m afraid to ask” at work before. So I’m requesting a LPT on how to ask a supervisor how to do something that you should probably already know with how long you’ve been working there. Without looking like an idiot or making them wonder about your competency, of course. submitted by /u/P…

LPT: Stock up on medical items when you’re healthy Pretty much title. I’ve fallen to a horrible flu and in the first two days have had to run to the pharmacy twice to pick up some things essential for surviving this. I realised that this is something that always happens when I’m sick, and it prevents me from fully resting in the early days of sickness when it’s the most crucial. So if you’re hea…
LPT Request: How to wake up in the morning and feel good? I have always struggled with both poor sleep quality and sleep inertia in the morning, for as long as I can remember. In recent years I have worked hard to track my sleeping habits and ensure that I get 7-8 hours almost every night, but even when I do, I find myself feeling so blah and slow to start in the mornings. I drink coffee sometimes, not…

You’ll warm up in no time! submitted by /u/blockpartymovement

LPT: Keep a roll of packing tape in your car if you ship things. This is a weird one, but any time you need to ship a package or box from the post office, they won’t give you tape. You have to buy it every time. If you have to stop for a box anyways, make sure you have tape on hand so you don’t get charged. I always keep a roll in my car to tape up anything I have to ship. submitted by /u/Peircen20
LPT Request: How to be less impulsive I tend to speak without thinking. It leads to a lot of silly questions that I realize the answer to 2 seconds after asking, putting my foot in my mouth, giving too much information out, and generally blurting things out that I shouldn’t. I also have anxiety disorder, and talking is a coping mechanism. I often can’t stop myself from talking even…

LPT stock up your refrigerator If you don’t keep a lot of food in your refrigerator, it has to work harder to keep food cool. Fill that empty space (about 3/4 full) with glass containers full of water (or other ready-to-drink beverages). Glass (or metal or ceramic) containers hold the cold temperatures better than plastic. I always give my dogs cold water to drink, so this en…
LPT request: I’m quitting my job in 6 months and may not have another for a while. What should I do right now to prepare? Quitting my stable, fairly high paying job with good benefits (eg health insurance) to pursue something new, but don’t expect to have another job like this at least for another year or two, if at all. I’m a pretty risk averse person, so this is one of the scariest things I’ve ever done, and I want to ensure I’m being as pragmatic as possible ab…
