Could use some lighting setup advice I’ve been asked to take a portrait of a homebound couple. However, I am traveling and the only artificial lighting I have is one speedlight (no softboxes/modifiers). The couple has a living room with a picture window, so I plan to set up there. One option is to try to bounce the speedlight, but the ceiling might be too high. I do have a trigger…
Help with strobe lighting I’m new to shooting with strobes and my friend who models part time asked to help recreate these looks this weekend in a studio she’s renting. I have access to Westcott FJ 200, 400, and 80 strobes along with a couple of reflectors. Where would you guys place them for these/how would you light? 🙏 submitted by /u/csm5698

Is my lighting situation ‘too much’ for the size of the space? https://imgur.com/a/yHTPPzY My couch (not visible) and the rest of the room furniture are white/beige toned, with a couple black accents to work with the black lighting. But just wondering if the two main lights together seem too big, or too much for the space? Maybe one of them needs to get switched for something less of a statement? Feedback …
How to achieve this lighting style BEFORE post processing? Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out how to achieve extremely bright, colorful, high contrast lighting using actual lighting techniques instead of of manipulation in photoshop. I’ve very inspired by Elizaveta Porodina’s work and from what I’ve read, her lighting effects are achieved through lighting, not through clever editing. Even if you don’…
Lighting for still art All of my experience is with nature, astrophotography, and events. A friend of mine asked me to do photos of her art for her Etsy page. Does anyone have any advice or links to resources for the lighting I should use for this? submitted by /u/captain_trainwreck
