My lens have focusing problems

My lens have focusing problems I have my old Sigma 85mm f1.4 EX DG HSM that cannot focus both af and mf. When I try to mf the handle of it is pretty much no traction but the focus is not following. What causes issues with a lens focusing?

What causes issues with a lens focusing? I’m playing around with a new Tamron 17-70 f2.8 and I notice that a lot more of my pictures are coming out unfocused almost as if its focusing right in front of subject instead of on the subject, compared to when I’m shooting with the sigma 30mm f1.4, which rarely has that issue. But nothing happened, didn’t really speak to anyone, I just kinda walked around and took photos. I wish I brought my 50mm instead of my 28mm. Not sure what I was thinking. submitted by /u/Bdilla810

Focusing on saving for retirement first?

Focusing on saving for retirement first? I live in an HCOL city and see absolutely no point in buying a house any time soon as a childfree 32-year-old. My plan is to save 500k in my nest egg before 45 (hopefully sooner than that) before starting to save and buy a home. I am married, and our household income is about 200k before taxes with no debt. We did not make much in our 20s, so we…

Focusing Issue in Video Mode

Focusing Issue in Video Mode I got a Sony a6400 (ICLE-6400), and when in video mode, and close in photo mode, when I try to focus the camera, it does its little blur then unblur focus thing, then takes a photo The thing is, when it does that, there’s like a split second where I can see a much higher quality and crisp image than what it ultimately settles om before taking th…
