Multi-city Flights

Multi-city Flights Hello all, It’s been a hot minute since I’ve planned multi-city international travel (like 2018) and I’m questioning myself here, so just wanted to make sure I’m not missing something. Wanting to go to Dublin and London. Leaving from Pittsburgh. It seems cheaper to buy a round trip ticket to Dublin from Pittsburgh. And then do a round trip Dubli…

Why do some airlines cancel flights so regularly?

Why do some airlines cancel flights so regularly? I live in the UK and have had about 3-4 flights cancelled in the last year or so out of about 30-40 flights, this isn’t lots but it’s enough to notice a trend. I do occasionally look at flightradar24 for my local airport and it’s quite common for at least 1 flight a day to be cancelled. This is just a small-medium airport with about 50 flights a…

Norse Atlantic review after 4 flights

Norse Atlantic review after 4 flights Figured this might be helpful to someone who’s looking at flying Norse. We’ve used them for 4 flights now, both between JFK and Oslo and JFK and London Gatwick. Roundtrips to both, and we used both destinations as transfer points to either Easy Jet or Norwegian. The Oslo trip there were 8 of us, the Gatwick trip there were 7. We purchased Nors…

Bumped from flights twice in a row, no response from United Airlines. What do I do from here?

Bumped from flights twice in a row, no response from United Airlines. What do I do from here? I had a return flight back to the USA from Croatia, but I was bumped. The airport paid for my hotel and got me a $300 voucher, but it happened again the next day. My ticket wasn’t even processed; the employees just completely forgot to issue me a new ticket. When I asked for the additional comp, I was laughed at by this beautiful Croatian women….

Flights from PNW to BKK; airline options

Flights from PNW to BKK; airline options Hi guys, we go to thailand frequently but not sure I’ve ever done it “right”. We tend to book through United or Delta since I have decent “status” there meaning boarding early and carry ons + checked bags free. However we took a flight to London recently and it was partnered with virgin. The virgin economy seat was better than the Delta first cl…

cancelled flights!

cancelled flights! More of a rant than advice. Booked a package holiday last October for this year. Paid my final installment, received my documents & checked in online for my flight. Flight cancelled notification by the airline. Rang for my options, turns out they were not even aware of this cancellation. Told to wait for a call with my options. Still showing my …

Drinking enough on flights

Drinking enough on flights I tend to not drink enough water on a plane. So I’ve read you want to try to aim to drink 8oz of water per hour on a plane. I have. A32oz water bottle I use for travel (compromise between size and portability), so obviously I’d have to refill it on like an 8 hour flight.floght attendants usually only provide little bottles of water, should I jus…

Do trans-pacific flights make the cabin dark?

Do trans-pacific flights make the cabin dark? I have some mild flight anxiety, I can do late night flights no problem because of the lack of visual stimulation. But daytime flights cause anxiety, overstimulation. I’ll be flying from SFO -> NRT via Zipair early September, and it’s a 5:20pm flight. I dont need pitch black, I just enjoy “sunny out but curtains blocking” degree of light at mini…

International flights and carryons Is there ever a case where carryons have to be checked due to space limitations on international flights? I know this happens often on domestics flights. I usually have to do plane side pickup. I’m flying solo internationally with only a carryon, so I’m trying to anticipate potential problems and hiccups. Thanks! If it helps, im flying United….

Why are multi city flights much cheaper than return flights? Hey all, While I get the reasoning why layover flights can be cheaper than direct flights, I’m just struggling to understand how a multi city flight is literally cheaper than a return flight. The scenario is this: Flying Cathay, a economy return flight from Melbourne to Hong Kong is around 1300 AUD. However, if you book a multi city flight where…

How do you make it through long flights?

How do you make it through long flights? Hey folks, I’d consider myself an avid traveller and all, having been to most continents now, however something that slightly puts me off exploring far-away places further is the fact that you have to be stuck in a plane for 10h+ on end. Being from Europe I’d love to see more of East/Southeast Asia for instance. In a car/bus/train I honestly don…
