A tool that recognizes text in .pdf files

A tool that recognizes text in .pdf files Hello, Is there any software, either paid or free, that can scan text from two PDFs and merge them into a single PDF in a custom order? Specifically, we run an e-commerce business, and with each shipment, we must include an invoice and the corresponding customs declaration for that shipment. One PDF contains all customs declarations, with each o…

How to hide files and folders on Windows While your Windows computer should be pretty well locked down with a password or maybe even some kind of biometric protection, it’s impossible to guarantee that no one else is ever going to get access to it, whether it’s a thief swiping your unlocked laptop from a coffee shop or one of your kids wanting

Hey all, i recently got a Nikon Z50ii and also got Luminar Neo on sale for like 30 bucks or so. i figured it would be enough for my noob/amateur needs. I just got back from vacation and have been browsing through my pics. When i open a raw file in Luminar Neo it looks fine, but a split second later it seems to have been “processed” somehow. the…

How do I keep my photos organized? (Folder structure, sidecar files, digikam vs darktable)

How do I keep my photos organized? (Folder structure, sidecar files, digikam vs darktable) What I have been doing + the problem: I use a canon camera which numbers the images from IMG_0000 to IMG_9999. So far I have dumped every image I took into one folder and I had one subfolder for the edited images (I use RawTherapee to edit). I was using Digikam for this. I have taken less than 10000 images so, so far there weren’t any issues wit…

Do you keep your raw files and psd files or only raws?

Watching Old X Files and Revival X-Files, makes you realize how lazy modern TV cinematography is

Watching Old X Files and Revival X-Files, makes you realize how lazy modern TV cinematography is A lot of TV nowadays seemed to be color corrected, tweaked in post-production, and shot on set with the simplest lighting set up possible. It’s like the lighting equivalent of Ikea. Of course not every show falls prey to this – and not every show in the past was well lit (far from it!) – but that’s my overriding impression. Perhaps I’m just nost…

Photographer sent me files that are 150 ppi at 8×10 size, can I still print them?

Photographer sent me files that are 150 ppi at 8×10 size, can I still print them? My sports team hired a photographer to take some team pics. But the files she sent aren’t very big–each portrait is about 600 kb up to 1.5 mb, so when I put them into a ppi checker online, it says that at 8 x 11 or 8 x 10, they’ll print at about 150 or 160 ppi. At 5 x 7 they go up to like 240. Is this normal and will I be able to make high qual…

Is there a device that can be used to transfer files only?

Is there a device that can be used to transfer files only? I’m looking for a device (USB C) that can be used to transfer images from my SD cards to a SSD, but I want just that function only. So not a laptop or iPad. Does this exist? Edit: I found this, which is what I’m talking about, but this one is USB A, and according to reviews, it’s really bad. Any alternatives? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ…
