I feel like I’ve spent so much and I’ve barely started my 8 week journey

I feel like I’ve spent so much and I’ve barely started my 8 week journey I’m backpacking across Europe and I started two Tuesdays ago. Excluding trains and hostels (both of which are prepaid) I’ve spent €800. I feel like that’s too much but most of that is doing museums and things. Am I being too quick to do stuff, or should I keep doing what I’m doing? submitted by /u/SnowyMuscles

Feel like something’s missing in this photo’s grade Snapped a photo of some mountains in Jasper while on a road trip to Edmonton. I feel like the composition is good, but something’s missing with the colours and it feels like it’s too bland. Also the slight blue haze on the mountains is something that’s frsutrating me. submitted by /u/croopdoomit

Are there any albums/songs you love but can’t listen to regularly because of the way they make you feel?

Are there any albums/songs you love but can’t listen to regularly because of the way they make you feel? There are a few albums that, as much as I love, it is hard to listen too because of the emotions they evoke. The albums ‘Sea Change’ by Beck and ‘The Fragile’ by Nine Inch Nails are some that stand out. I find both amazing pieces of art that beautifully describes the emotions of the artist. That being said, the art takes me to a place I struggle…

Where in the U.S. can you travel to that you feel like it is worth a whole week’s stay and you never get bored? After reading the posts on which city is the most overrated but others love, such as Miami, Orlando, Nashville, and Dubai as being overrated, which cities are gems that you could stay a whole week and feel like it was worth the effort and expense (in the U.S.)? Where there are plenty of activities and you would go back again and recommend. Every…

LPT request: How to not feel lonely in the evenings when working from home, single, and living alone?

LPT request: How to not feel lonely in the evenings when working from home, single, and living alone? I’ve tried scheduling hangouts with friends, phone calls, going to groups and classes, and focusing on hobbies, cooking, or a movie. But there’s so many hours to fill and I still end up feeling depressed and lonely. Some nights, at least a couple a week, I have to spend it alone. I guess I’m looking for ideas I haven’t tried yet or ways to refr…

LPT Always label your emotions as specifically as you can (“I feel disappointed / annoyed / resentful”, instead of “I feel bad”). It may seem simple, but it helps to avoid becoming overwhelmed or entangled in your feelings, and helps stop the vicious cycle of having emotions about emotions In psychology, this is called “emotion differentiation”. I learned it from the mental health game Betwixt, which after each level tells you about the science behind it, and I’ll paraphrase here to share the gist of the idea. It’s been linked to lower levels of depression, social anxiety, eating disorders, and even alcohol use and aggression. Em…

How would you feel if your friends offered to pay for your trip, if you traveled with them?

How would you feel if your friends offered to pay for your trip, if you traveled with them? My spouse and I have good jobs and healthy savings. We travel regularly, but are tired of always traveling alone. Some of our best friends are teachers who have been woefully underpaid (thanks, Florida). We would love to pay for the plane and lodging and bring them along. But I could also see the offer being super insulting… I am not worried a…

I feel like my “look” is missing something. Is it the brows? Today was a casual one. So, I’m wearing some eyeliner, foundation, a little highlighter and lipstick. What’s missing? I usually only go “all out” with contours and bronzers for a more date night out. But when I was looking in the mirror and taking pics, something felt lacking. Is the my brows?
