What older artist would you like to see get more flowers (or at least exposure) today?

What older artist would you like to see get more flowers (or at least exposure) today? I’ll start. XTC was never a huge band (at least not here in the States) but they had so many strengths, from the avant-garde to great pure pop. Fantastic writers and musicians, but you hardly hear of them today. I would love to wave a magic wand that would make millennials and gen z take notice of them. submitted by /u/ZahidInNorCal

How do I get the sky clearer and the picture sharper at long time exposure? Hi there. I’m new to photography and just got a camera a few days ago. Went to a bridge, set the camera on the railing, pushed the shutter speed up to 30 seconds, turned down the iso to 125 and the lens to f16 It’s a fujifilm fx50 with a 35mm 1.4f Now the light streaks of the cars came ou…

Differences in exposure in live view and final image?

Differences in exposure in live view and final image? I recently got a Nikon coolpix b700 for Christmas and have been loving it except for one feature. When I adjust the aperture or shutter speed, the brightness/exposure of my image is not the same as the photo I take. It can be perfectly bright in the preview, and then complete darkness in the actual photo. Is this a feature of the camera, or some…

What is the relationship between camera “standard” exposure and values in RAW files?

What is the relationship between camera “standard” exposure and values in RAW files? Hi all. Hopefully this question is on topic here and not too technical. I am investigating RAW image processing in my quest to create RAW developing software. While investigating tone mapping, I have come to this dilemma: what is the relationship between a standard +-0EV exposure as calculated by the camera, and the pixel luminance values in the…

Is exposure to the right (ETTR) still the mantra?

Is exposure to the right (ETTR) still the mantra? Have seen the mantra many times that photogs should “expose to the right” or ETTR. But I think this might be wrong. I always end up with better edits when I am exposed middle or even slightly left. I can lift shadows but cannot pull back blown highlights. Anyone else with a view on this? submitted by /u/Greedy_Reading9106

Finally watching Northern Exposure, and really loving it

Finally watching Northern Exposure, and really loving it Growing up in the mid-late 90s, I remember Northern Exposure reruns playing on tv but I never ended up watching it. I recall it being fairly popular back in the day but I feel like it pretty much completely dropped off the pop culture radar. Lately I’ve been in the mood for a low stakes comedy with a cozy vibe and a lot of people recommended Nor…
