The len’s flare caught the eclipse even though the sun looked normal at peak (we weren’t in path of total eclipse) what’s happening here? Kept thinking I’d see something in the direct photo of the sun but it is the lens flare where it is clearly visible instead there is a partial eclipse at all stages. Eclipse photo: are these craters or image artifacts? My brother took these photos of the eclipse today and I spotted what I first assumed to be craters on the moon, but I’m not absolutely sure.
