A question on DoF So, I just bought a sigma 18-50 2.8. It has pretty shallow DoF. So i was wondering, if I am taking pictures of cars or buildings, is it going to always make the part that’s farther away blurry? How do I get everything in focus with same lens? submitted by /u/pirateskul82

DoF tips beginner Beginner film photographer. I shoot a canon ae 1 with a 50mm 1.4 prime and have been struggling to find situations where I can crank down the aperture.
