‘Down in It’ by NIN is a hip hop track, and a dang good one. Listening to this track on its own, I noticed some hip-hop inspired traits: The thumping 808 beat and rhythmic vocals (more spoken than sung) make this track blur the industrial lines into straight up 90’s hip hop. LPT: If you’re putting a drink in the freezer to get cold, set a gosh dang timer! I have wasted almost as many drinks as I’ve drank to forgetfulness. I recommend 15-20 minutes.
