Can’t decide which couch to get for the fireplace I live by myself and have family & friends over a few times a month. I have two theater rooms in the house already and only want to use the fireplace area for a common / functional/ aesthetic area. I do like the recliners because they are extremely comfy, can host 7 people comfortably and can recline back to watch the tv. I can decide if I want …
Which way should I place my couch? 1 or 2? (Just moved) Still acquiring furniture so please feel free to suggest anything and everything. I value this thread’s opinion. Also going to show current area rug so you can see what colors are in palette. I think I like the second layout as it frees up room for some side chairs and I can do a simple tv mount and small console on wall. I know my back is to d…
How do I make my couch look less blah. I love cottage core, dark academia, and over all a vintage vibe.this is the only piece of furniture not thrifted. It’s so so comfortable but I think it’s hideous. (We are putting a shelf below the picture that’s why it’s so high) submitted by /u/Madmen3000
Recently purchased house. Where to put tv and couch Here are some photos with the staging furniture of our new living room. I need to buy some new furniture so I’m trying to consider the layout of where the tv and the couch will go. + opinions on what other furniture would look good is appreciated. 2 arm chairs or one etc thank you! submitted by /u/Avocados66
Options on what I can put behind a floating couch. I know the typical narrow table behind the couch is a thing, which I’m not opposed to. I just feel like it’s to traditional, which is not the look I’m going for. What other low footprint solutions can one put behind the couch. It just looks to bare back there for my liking. submitted by /u/Rc-one9
Big wall above couch..what to do? Not sure how to fill this space. Debating putting up some shelving and decorating with frames and maybe a big mirror. But still unsure submitted by /u/dildobigs
Which wall should I place my couch against: brick, or window? Thankfully, I don’t have a TV to design around. Against the brick feels cozier, but against the window opens the space up a bit more. Any thoughts? submitted by /u/porfaa
How close to put couch in front of window? Hi! I have a large sectional couch in the family room. It’s in front of large windows. There is about a 2 foot gap between the window and the back of the couch. Should I put the couch closer to the window? Like maybe 12 inches? I’m afraid it might cover the windows (overlooking my backyard) a little too much from the bottom. Any suggestions appr…
Living room has an opening to the dining room where a couch should go Please ignore the clutter, we have two young kids at home. How would you arrange the furniture here? We’ve floated the couch away from the wall and it kind of sticks out a bit into the dining room entrance so we can see the tv but it drives me nuts. Also we need a rug but that just isn’t possible right now with our dog. Any suggestions would be …
Does an L couch need to against the wall or does it need to go into the middle of the living room? As the title says, I love this couch but it only comes in this configuration. I’m terrible at interior decoration, but I’m thinking that I can put this in the corner. Does an L couch with my living room type need to be going into the middle of the space? I’m hoping this makes sense. I highlighted in blue what my original thoughts were for couch …
I’m horrible at color schemes. I’m going for earthy tones in my living room and this is my couch. Any suggestions? The plaid pillows came with it, but I will be switching them out because I don’t like them. My couch just got delivered today and I feel like it just looks washed out against my wall. What pillows/throw blanket colors would pair well? I wanted the vibe of my living room to be more boho vibes and more earthy tones but I don’t mind a splash of col…

Which couch for this room? Does the light brown leather or dark brown leather go better in this room? This is a listing picture so bear in mind that the furniture in the picture is not mine. submitted by /u/Adventurous-Hat8409
Couch layout I recently moved and I’ve rearranged our old modular sofa such that it spans the length of the wall. This has resulted in some extra floor space where I placed floor cushions (see picture). Does this work or should I buy an additional matching ottoman from the manufacturer to place where the floor pillows currently are or should I leave as is. A…
First time homeowner. This is the front living room. I’m struggling because of the geometric accent wall. It’s making it hard for me to decide what pillows for the couch and art above the couch would work with it. The couch is a new purchase. Everything else is a hand-me-down, Facebook marketplace purchase, or random assortment of purchases from years of renting apartments. I’m also not a fan of the coffee table but not confident what would look good in this space. The odd dog bed placement is because that’s where he likes to lay haha submitted by …
How would you rearrange to remove kitchen table and get a larger couch? How would you modify this room to accommodate a larger couch? We are looking to get rid of the dining table. Also, any suggestions on type of couch? I love a couch with depth and lean toward sectionals. submitted by /u/swedishmeatballs0311
How would you arrange a couch and chair and 75″ television/media center in this room? The trim on the top right of the second picture is a stair “rail” going to the second floor. I have a 7.1 sound system so ideally I’d have surround speakers behind the couch. submitted by /u/TheSuppishOne
