Are conflicts of interest as big a deal for photojournalism as they are for written journalism? I do a bit of shooting for my school newspaper, and I’m aspiring to be the sports photographer for them for the rest of my semesters at university. But at the same time I do want to reach out to some sports teams on campus to see if I can do some photography for them to beef up my portfolio, and potentially get some contacts for future paid work…
