ND Filter with flash. How to compensate? I’m using a 3 stop ND Filter to reduce the amount of light reaching the film so I can open up my lens more for shallower dof. I typically use 160 speed film, and this puts me at 1/500 f/8 iso160 in bright sunny daylight. With a 3 stop ND I can more or less shoot 1/500 at f/2.8.
