Check Fraud at CitiBank

Check Fraud at CitiBank I opened a checking account with citibank in December. In Jan, I saw two checks came out of my account (I don’t have any citi checks), with a faked signature made out to someone “Miller” that I never heard of. Both checks come out to about 4000 dollars. I called the Citibank and got the absolute run around. The CSRs were absolutely unintelligibl…

Fraud call “Citibank” branch

Fraud call “Citibank” branch So, today my wife got a call from a phone number of a Citi bank branch in San Francisco. I called the number myself, and searched it up, and it was the same number. They had the first 4 and last 4 numbers of my wife’s CC. They also knew she had just spent money at Target. How is that possible? They were asking for her mother’s maiden name, last …

Citibank will not reimburse fraudulent charges

Citibank will not reimburse fraudulent charges I have the BestBuy Citibank card. Haven’t touched it since 2021. In November 2023 there was a fraudulent charge of $1000 on my card. I reported it to Citibank, but they denied it as fraud as the card “was in my possession and was swiped at a chip enabled card reader.” Since then I’ve filed a police report and a report with the CFPB, but receive…

Yup, Citibank is bad

Yup, Citibank is bad I’ve been “dating around” with new banks since coming into some money. Dating before marriage. Seeing what’s out there, how good they are to me, how easy it is to get stuff done, how decent their online banking is, etc. All that, before I decide to commit serious cash to any of them. I’m banking with all the major banks plus the major CUs. 30 a…
