LPT: Center your dining room table under your chandelier by leaning over the table and lining up the reflection of your head with the reflection of the chandelier. It will be perfectly centered every time. Or you can put a candlestick in the middle of the table and move the table around until the shadow of the candlestick falls straight down on the table. submitted by /u/kempff
Chandelier over a conversation pit I’m getting a skylight installed on my slope ceiling over my conversation pit. My contractor has asked me if I also want to install a chandelier over the pit or if I want to move the skylight down a bit and install a ceiling fan to help with the HVAC concerns. A ceiling fan would be really helpful, there is a loft in the top left hand corner of…

Is the chandelier supposed to be off-center? Chandelier is off-center in room. To the right is a through-way to the living room and kitchen. If the table is under the chandelier, there is a walkable-hallway amount of room to navigate, but it sort of makes the space feel tight, and then on the opposite side there is a ton of room. Is it supposed to be this way and would I regret moving it? …
Dining room chandelier + suggestions Hello everyone! This is my dining room (excuse the mess) and was looking for opinions on which chandelier you think would look best. I love both! I plan on adding three beams on the ceiling and getting curtains. If you have any other suggestions or ideas I would love to hear them! submitted by /u/Madyngomez

Chandelier in our house We have this chandelier in our house that I absolutely love. Besides the craziness above the bulk of the fixture that doesn’t illuminate and just looks weird in my opinion. We’re also not really into the floral ceiling mount. We’ve just moved in a month ago and this area was a dining room. We’ve moved the dining into a vaulted area and made this…
Chandelier Height Over Coffee Table Looking for advice on an appropriate chandelier height for hanging over the coffee table in this living room. I’m considering a chandelier that would be 34.5″ in height and 36″ wide. The ceilings are about 106″ from the floor. The height of the coffee table is 13″ and it is 44″ wide. This would put the bottom of the chandelier about 71″ from the…

Is this chandelier too small? Looking for some expert opinions on if this chandelier looks to be too small for this entry way space? It wouldn’t hang down quite this far. My gut reaction is that it’s too small but I keep going back and forth. It measures about 12” in diameter and the entry area is about 77” wide. Are there any general rules of thumb for this sort of thing? …
