LPT: Point barcodes towards your cashier at gas stations/convenient stores. It doesn’t save a ton of time but it does speed up a bit, makes the cashier happy and over all it smooths out the process.(especially during a lunch rush) If you have candy make sure the barcode is pointed up, if you have a drink point the barcode towards them.
