Cuba – cash or card?

Cuba – cash or card? Hi all, I’m from the UK and going on a cruise in December which stops for two days in Havana. I can’t remember the last time I used cash, both at home and abroad, but wanted to check the availability of paying by card in Cuba? Is MasterCard widely accepted or am I best taking out some USD or CUP? Thanks! submitted by /u/GosephJoebbels

Mom opened a whole life policy for me when I was 7 and just died. Cash it out or keep?

Mom opened a whole life policy for me when I was 7 and just died. Cash it out or keep? She bought it when I was 7 and now I’m 36. It has a face value of $75K and a death benefit now of like $150K. I can borrow against it at like 5.25%. The premium on it is $45/month. What should I do with it? I’m a fairly high earner with significant savings and investments so it’s kind of immaterial to me. I have a $2.5 million term life policy e…

Why is the bridal shop requiring the balance be paid in cash?

Why is the bridal shop requiring the balance be paid in cash? Sorry if this doesn’t belong here. I’m just really curious and couldn’t think of where else to ask (and Google wasn’t super helpful). My friend is getting married. She bought her dress from a small bridal shop (not a chain) that has been there as long as I can remember. We picked out bridesmaid dresses when she picked her wedding dress (same vis…

I love Johnny Cash´s American series, and I´m searching for more music similar to it.

I love Johnny Cash´s American series, and I´m searching for more music similar to it. Cash´s final 6 albums with producer Rick Rubin. A dark, gloomy atmosphere prevails throughout all of them, and I love it. It has been labelled as “southern gothic”; so country/folk, with a hint of darkness. Cash is often singing about themes like religion, redemption, and death throughout these records. I know Nick Cave, while not country, exhib…

Why would an employer pay his/her employee in cash?

Why would an employer pay his/her employee in cash? I recently got a job offer as I move into a different field, and was told the pay will be in cash. Meaning I won’t get taxed even though I can be. Why would they do that? Can someone explain it to me in his/her shoes? Thank you! submitted by /u/Ordinary_Pianist4514

Is there much need for cash in South Korea? These days I could go months without using cash. Is that the same in South Korea? I have a credit card which is pretty good if I’m just using it to pay for stuff but there’s lots of fees if I need to take money out.
