Trip Review: Cappadocia and Istanbul My wife (26F) and I (27M) just finished a week-and-a-half trip to Turkey and wanted to share our thoughts for anyone considering a similar trip. We went to Cappadocia first and stayed in Göreme at Carus Cappadocia. Definitely a bit of a splurge of a hotel for us, but it was 100% worth it. The breakfast was outstanding, there were lots of spots t…
Is February bad time for Cappadocia? I am thinking about booking a flight to home and have transit in Istanbul. So I’m planning to stay longer in Turkey and visit Cappadocia for the hot air balloon rides. I wonder how’s the weather or travel situation in Turkey around February. Any advice/suggestions? submitted by /u/Ghorardim71

Cappadocia in September ‘23 I cisited Cappadocia for the first time in 7 years last week. There’s Starbucks, McDonalds and Burger King now, fees to visit parks are very high and there’s bus loads of tourists from around the world. But it’s still one of the greatest places in the world. submitted by /u/cbyfl
Hot Air Balloon Experience in Cappadocia Years ago, we did a hot air balloon ride in Napa Valley. I’ve also photographed the Albuquerque Balloon Festival (from the ground.) I’m curious whether anyone has hot-air ballooned in Cappadocia and whether it’s a don’t-miss experience. submitted by /u/sbh56
