Is my Neewer Z1 on-camera flash bad or is it me?

Is my Neewer Z1 on-camera flash bad or is it me? I’m brand new to flash photography. I purchased a Neewer Z1-C last winter after minimal research. I’ve tried both TTL and manual and can barely get it to work. I’ve used it with both my Canon 6D and Canon R6 mark II with the same outcomes, using both cameras in manual mode. I used it once indoors on manual mode for one photo and adjusted the pow…

Are “in camera shots” just the RAW/original file? I came across a job posting with this in the application requirements: “Provide a PDF of your 5 best in camera shots and those same 5 photos edited” When they ask for the in camera shots, are they just expecting me to make a pdf with the 5 original files straight from the memory card without editing or are they asking for something else? TIA! (…

Why is my camera so dark?

Why is my camera so dark? I recently got a DSC-HX400V from my uncle. It’s the first camera I’ve ever owned. When I am inside the camera doesn’t seem to pick up any light unless I point it directly at the light in the room, and even then it is still pretty dim. I have reset the settings already so I don’t think it’s that. Please let me know if you have any ideas. subm…

Is the Nikon D5300 a good budget camera?

Is the Nikon D5300 a good budget camera? I’m seeing which of the Nikon D5xxx series seems to be best for me in both picture quality and price. I had a look at the D5100 and the photos are pretty good but I’d rather have something in the 20MP range so I decided to look at some of the photos taken by a D5300 and not going to lie they look worse than the D5100. It might be a setting that …

APSC vs full frame camera? Initially I was looking at Sony a6400, however I think Sony a6700 does have a lot of added features and top of line AF system. However, it has an APSC sensor. Normally this wouldn’t …

Advice on fixing rubber grip that started peeling off a camera body? I just noticed part of the grip has come loose on my Sony A7s(mk1). It feels like it’s stretched a little bit and not wanting to lay flush. Is there a recommended type of glue to use? I assume I’ll have to shave off a bit of the end to make it fit & I am not seeing any rubber replacement grips online. submitted by /u/bigfooman

What to do you think of these photos and how would you improve the camera settings further? I have an older model Nikon 5300 I’ve been using with a 50-300mm lens. These photos were taken at 1/2000, f5.6 (the lowest my older camera will go) and ISO between 600-1000. An aside that there is no auto-iso setting on my camera so I must manually change settings every time a cloud blows over in the 2-hour window I’m shooting for (something I’m…
