Lufthansa or British airways?

Lufthansa or British airways? I will be heading to Europe mid next year and will be flying into Zurich and flying out of Milan. This is my 50th birthday trip, so I’m splurging and going business class and trying to decide between the 2. The costs are pretty much identical, so pricing really isn’t playing a factor in the decision. The one thing I like about the flights I’m lo…

Not happy with British Airways – dishonest

Not happy with British Airways – dishonest I paid $30 usd to reserve a booking for three days in august. As luck would have it the BA system malfunctioned that week and I couldn’t follow through on my booking so I had to start from scratch. I made a complaint to get my $30 back. I just received response that BA is “very sorry” and sent me a voucher instead of refunding my credit card. I …

British culture differences or just personal experiences?

British culture differences or just personal experiences? Flew into London yesterday from Texas. So far I love it. The only thing I’ve noticed is people are a bit gloomier here. I know people say Americans are just overly nice and “fake” but I didn’t think it would be this much of a culture shock. Small talk doesn’t seem as common. Customer service seems a little more laid back. People just don’t seem …

British Navy Stops Using ‘Chinese Servants,’ But Not For The Reason You Expect Here in the United States, making hiring decisions based on race common but technically illegal under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In the United Kingdom, they appear proud of the British Navy’s “century-old custom of having Chinese servants on warships,” and hate that it’s coming to an end. Read more…

The British Museum Shop guarantees no customs fees duties for international orders, how are they doing this?

The British Museum Shop guarantees no customs fees duties for international orders, how are they doing this? They have a thing top left corner of store page saying ‘postage includes all customs and import duties’. I tried seeing the cost of delivery for a British Museum t-shirt to Brazil – shipping alone comes to £59.99! (‘Worldwide’), Europe is £29.99. Is there a way you can pre-pay tariffs etc? submitted by /u/wayanonforthis

British Airways Pilot Fired For Snorting A Line Of Cocaine Off Of A Topless Woman The Night Before Flight A British Airways pilot was fired and will likely never fly a commercial airliner again after he attempted to work a 12-hour flight after a night of hard partying where he used cocaine. If you had the option between The British Museum, The Natural History Museum & The science Museum in London

If you had the option between The British Museum, The Natural History Museum & The science Museum in London What would you do? I have the option to see these places in London but the way the days fall while I’m there (23rd of December to the 28th) make it so I have 1 day only to fit them in. I’m also seeing the louvre on the same trip if that makes a difference. submitted by /u/VillanelleTheVillain
