Booking.com deposit. I’ve got an upcoming booking for a flat in the UK that was secured through booking.com. The property state that there is a security deposit that I need to pay prior to arrival and that they’ll send me a link to complete that. Obviously this has got me questioning this practice, especially since it’s well accepted that any transactions conducted …

Left mediocre Booking.com review and now B&B owner chats me and tells me I am killing her :/ Just got back from a wonderful 9-day trip in Italy. We went to Umbria for a few days and to Sicily. I was pleasantly surprised by the economical prices of lodging where we traveled. For example, we stayed in a restored medieval building in a hill town steps from the town square with incredible views of the surrounding valley for $110 (Euros) a n…

Is there some trick to booking longer rail routes in Europe? Do you usually need to buy multiple tickets? Hey guys, so I’m planning a ski trip to Zermatt this coming winter. I know that Geneva and Zurich would definitely be the more conventional options to flight into, however, the city I am in (Saint Louis) doesn’t have nonstop service to these places, and it’s been tricky to find decent flights. However, we do have direct flights to Frankfurt! I …

What happened to Agoda/Booking.com? Both used to be my go-to booking sites, but now I’m hearing so many horror stories from accommodations and guests. Trustpilot reviews are not exactly reassuring either with both hovering around a terrible 1.3-1.5/5 score. What happened? submitted by /u/Murky_Onion3770

Booking.com host accusing me of causing damage and trying to scam me for 300 euro, Booking.com being useless. What to do? Hi there I was just in Naples and booked an apartment from a place with a 7.7 rating. Terrible instructions for self-check in meant it took me 30 minutes to get in the door and when I did I found the shower door completely shattered. They sent someone to clean up the glass and there were exactly two minutes between me telling the host I was in t…
