Issues with a hotel booked via booking.com

Issues with a hotel booked via booking.com Hi all, Booked a hotel and sent them a message about late check in as they asked on their page. I received no response, so sent more messages, sent messages on Facebook, and also tried to call them but couldn’t get through. Now my free refund has expired and I still can’t get in touch with them – should I just give up and book another hotel or g…

I’ve got a one way ticket to Miami booked in a few weeks. Where do I go after that?

I’ve got a one way ticket to Miami booked in a few weeks. Where do I go after that? I’m in my late 20’s, from Toronto, and heading down to Miami for a cruise with a friend of mine in mid-october. I got laid off recently and have a ton of time on my hands, so I’ve decided to extend my trip a little bit, but I’ve got no idea where to go. I’d like to fly somewhere warm in miami, before swinging up to NY for a couple days towards t…

Impulsively booked a flight and forgot I’m supposed to be changing my name, advice?

Impulsively booked a flight and forgot I’m supposed to be changing my name, advice? I planned a trip in March. Found a good deal on my tickets and snatched them up. That was an hour ago. I remembered just now that as I was married in June, I’ve been meaning to change my name to my married name. (We honeymooned in August so we waited as we didn’t think the new passport would come in time.) Which of the following options would y…

Booked flight through Opodo and not sure if I have checked luggage booked.

Booked flight through Opodo and not sure if I have checked luggage booked. I’d appreciate some thoughts from more experienced travellers… Booked Swiss International flight through Opodo (this will be my first and last time). Paid for checked luggage, but Opodo booking doesn’t confirm this. Checked with Swiss and their booking doesn’t show luggage either. Contacted Opodo to ask them to resolve and they ignored all co…

I’ve booked a flight to Marrakech and am concerned about the earthquake. What should I do?

I’ve booked a flight to Marrakech and am concerned about the earthquake. What should I do? I also feel that it’s pretty damn rich of me to go over there for Christmas whilst there’s lots of people without homes now. The flight didn’t cost me too much either so it wouldn’t be a huge loss. I also wonder if the flight will even be possible now if the airport has been damaged. submitted by /u/Kaizerdave

Booked an aisle seat instead of window. Am I some kind of animal?

Booked an aisle seat instead of window. Am I some kind of animal? I’ve flown long distance (14 hours) quite a few times over my life, and always choose window. Not sure why but I do like having the window to lean against to sleep. When reserving my seat this time, I decided to try booking the outer seat in the middle aisle. My thinking is I don’t care about the views, and it’s not only easier for me to get up …

Booked a specific flight to enjoy the scenery of Iceland/Greenland/Northern Canada. Cabin crew strongly enforced closed window blinds on a daytime flight.

Booked a specific flight to enjoy the scenery of Iceland/Greenland/Northern Canada. Cabin crew strongly enforced closed window blinds on a daytime flight. Just landed in Vancouver after a 10 hour slog from Europe – booked a very specific daytime flight that flies over Iceland/Greenland/Northern Canada as its been on my bucket list for a while as I’ve always wanted to see the scenery from above. Very sad to have made the trip today and saw very little of it as the cabin crew strictly enforced windo…

I just can’t stomach how much more expensive lodging is. Yet, these places are booked!

I just can’t stomach how much more expensive lodging is. Yet, these places are booked! Just for reference, I live in the SF Bay Area. Before and during COVID-time, me and my gal would like to take weekend road trips. For example we would go down to the central coast…Pismo Beach was one of our favorites. We would typically budget around $250/night for a 2-3 star hotel. Often times we would book last minute. It was great to just …

Be careful with hotels booked through Groupon

Be careful with hotels booked through Groupon Groupon canceled and refunded the hotel we had reservations at this weekend. Hotel is now sold out. No explanation. No reason. No warning. I assume the hotel was overbooked and since we paid about 25% less with Groupon, as the lowest people on the totem pole, we got our booking cancelled. I guess I should have had this on my radar, but be carefu…

Just booked my flights for moving over to Japan for a job. First time, need some feedback on if I’m missing any steps.

Just booked my flights for moving over to Japan for a job. First time, need some feedback on if I’m missing any steps. So I’m moving to Japan on September 6th for a new job. I’ve just booked my tickets directly through the airlines as that seemed to be the most efficient method. My first flight is the 10:32 to 12:05 from Little Rock to Dallas. A 1 hour layover then my next flight is the 13:34 to 15:18 from Dallas to San Francisco. Both flights I booked through …

Booked my first solo holiday and all my family is telling me is the dangers

Booked my first solo holiday and all my family is telling me is the dangers Instead of being excited for me they’re just making me feel like sh*t about it…. Telling me about stories in the news (about girls abroad getting raped and sold and killed etc) and do this and don’t do that. I get that they’re concerned and want the best for me and just trying to help but it’s really frustrating. Telling me it was a bad idea to …
