LPT: If you have food that’s going to go bad when you go on a trip, take it with you.

LPT: If you have food that’s going to go bad when you go on a trip, take it with you. There are obvious limits to this, but you can cut up fresh fruit and snack on it all day. If you have cold cuts and cheese, that’s great on crackers or in a sandwich. Even eggs can be hard boiled, or meat cooked to add to a salad or sandwich later. submitted by /u/furtivespork

How does one fix this magenta blowout? It looked bad on the camera viewfinder OLED, but I thought I could fix it post. Little did I know that both the resulting JPEG and raw file were also bad. Why is it that magenta and reds become like this? :P

I messed up. Bad. JPEG vs RAW

I messed up. Bad. JPEG vs RAW I’ve been waiting 10 years to make a trip to antelope canyon, Sedona, and Horseshoe Bend. Somehow, I, and the mistake is entirely my own, held the zoom in button on my D750 and rolled the roll bar thing and told the camera to shoot only in JPEG fine vs RAW. I then jumped into two extremely famous slot canyons that are immensely reliant on shad…

Road trip through Morocco: The good, the bad, and the ugly

Road trip through Morocco: The good, the bad, and the ugly We just arrived back from a lengthy road trip throughout Morocco where we camped along the way, and I thought I would just write a summary of what we loved (and didn’t love) about Morocco. We (male and female in our 30s) visited the following cities/places along the way, and shows you approximately the route we took: Nador > Fès > Cèdre Gouraud …

I Just Can’t Get Past How Bad Door Handles Look On The New Z

( jalopnik.com )

I Just Can’t Get Past How Bad Door Handles Look On The New Z I probably like the new Nissan Z more than most people. Enough that if you gave me a $50,000 budget, it’s probably the new car that I would buy. The design just does it for me in a way that I can admit is irrational, but if I’m buying a new car, I have to connect with how it looks, and neither the Toyota Supra nor the… Read more…

Travelling to winter destinations for Christmas weekend getaway. Good idea or bad idea?

Travelling to winter destinations for Christmas weekend getaway. Good idea or bad idea? We have a 4 day weeekend coming up for Christmas and are looking to get away. My GF and I are trying to play it safe and pick a warm place to fly to to avoid travel disruptions, so we are leaning towards Las Vegas which is okay but I wanted to convince my GF that its safe to travel to Denver, SLC or Jackson Hole as those airports are accustomed …

LPT: Despite what some will tell you vanilla extract does go bad.

LPT: Despite what some will tell you vanilla extract does go bad. I just opened a forgotten bottle, no idea how old but probably around 10 years, and one wiff nearly knocked me on my butt. It smelled so strong of alcohol and no notes of vanilla at all. Granted, it is alcohol based it would still be sanitary but that stuff some how turned to straight alcohol over the years. Could probably make interesting bever…

Why are bonds doing so bad?

Why are bonds doing so bad? I am a reasonably young investor. Looking at my investment portfolio is quite depressing but I just try to think about the fact that I won’t be touching the money anytime soon. In all of my accounts, bond index funds (and international index funds) are down way more than anything else I’m invested in. BND is down almost 18% in my portfolio. I t…

How bad is the bed bug thing in Paris really I was just planning a trip with my girlfriend to Paris next month. Now this bed bug thing is all over the news but not really sure how bad it really is? Any advice from the locals, is there really a high risk? submitted by /u/timma_2111

I’ve had now 3 personal loans before, 2 paid off already. I have a car not paid off. There’s a way to get 20k from reprisal financial I guess but my car would be collateral.
