What would be a good lens to use for auroras and landscapes? I am planning on buying a Nikon d750 and I am considering a 20mm f/1.8 lens. Can someone tell me what the difference is between a 14-24mm and 24mm lens is for example? Also, I live in eastern Washington so I would be aiming my camera north. Is there a site or app to check picturesque weather conditions (forecast), like fog, auroras, eclipse, halo? Bonus points if there’s a way to receive notifications about such conditions.
