How relevant was The Drew Carey Show when it aired? I remember The Drew Carey Show (1995 – 2004) as a great sitcom at the time. It had an interesting cast, was perhaps ahead of its time in its humor, weren’t afraid to do crazy “one off” shows or break the fourth wall (way before Community), had a slew of memorable theme songs, and had a decently long run. Then it sort of seemed to disappear from …

Other than Toonami/CN/Adult Swim, what other blocks aired anime on American television? Cartoon Network is the most viewed channel for watching anime on Television for American viewers thanks to the help of the Toonami and Adult Swim blocks. Because of Cartoon Network, anime became mainstream in America in the late 90s to today. But other than CN, I want to know what other blocks aired anime on US television. submitted by /…
S4 of Arrested Development is honestly not as bad as I remembered. But why do Netflix try and hide the original way it aired? The original way it aired is superior to the remix imo. It was filmed in that specific way and it makes more sense and some of the jokes hit better when you see an alternate angle of a scene that already happened But the season itself is not terrible.. The GOB/Michael/Tobias centric episodes are honestly great. Top tier Arrested Development It…

People who watched Friends as it aired, what was the reaction to hooking up? Didn’t want to put it in the title, just in case, but I’m referring to Chandler and Monica at the end of season 4. I’ve watched Friends plenty but I was only a few years old when this big twist aired, so I was wondering if it was a huge moment in TV back then. submitted by /u/LSB123

The original Honeymooners show is much darker and meaner than I remembered. It could never be aired today. Been watching the MeTV “lost episodes” of the original Honeymooners series, which was basically the same show but part of the earlier Jackie Gleason Show and boy was I surprised to see how nasty it was. I mean Ralph and Alice are downright awful to each other. He constantly threatens to hit her or leave her, she tells him shut up in the most con…
To those of you who watched the MASH finale the night it originally aired, what was it like? The finale of this show is still referenced to this day with so much respect for how it ended the story, how is gave respect to the fans, and how it was monumental for a large portion of the population. I was born about 2 months after this aired so I was there in spirit…sort of. submitted by /u/jwwin
