Bought this house 18 months ago, at a loss for what to do with this room. When we bought this house, this room had light gray walls with brown carpet. We repainted this room. Willing to repaint by the fireplace. We’re looking at designers but honestly don’t even know where to start for a look. I’m a musician. We want this to be a place to look at the fireplace and listen to records in the winter, or music in general. …
Investment Loss from Decades Ago – Merill Lynch Advisor – Family Member Story Heyo! Quite wild story i heard from our Grandmother in the family. Apparently she had $100K with Merill Lynch back in the late 70s/Early 80s Her “Advisor” at the time apparently was mentioning/selling her on some “American Candle Factory” and trading on Margin, she states she told him she wasnt interested/didnt want this. Was it super easy to pl…

50 years ago today my favourite album was released: Bruce Springsteen – The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle Bruce’s first three albums were all amazing but this one is my fave. His early years are so different from his later work they are so full of energy and this album captures his New Jersey / New York vibe perfectly… it’s quite a bit different from his later work. submitted by /u/natterca

My Roth IRA has barely increased in value since opening it almost 3.5 years ago. Am I doing something wrong? I opened my Roth IRA 3.5 years ago, when I graduated college. I’ve been diligent about investing in it since I started my career, maxing it out all 4 years that I’ve had it. However, I’m starting to worry that maybe I’m doing something wrong, as the value has jumped around quite a bit and for the last few weeks has been hovering around $0 in ret…
How the creation of the BCS 25 years ago set the stage for the current playoff format Before 1998, college football’s national champion was determined by polls, not a title game. We look at how that all changed and the impact it still has.

Family member stopped paying for car years ago, they still haven’t retrieved it. What does he do? Posting for a family member – Location is Kentucky He financed a new car through their bank (ie, Nissan Financial Services) a couple years ago. He was borderline on credit, and has a tough work history, and I’m not sure how he was able to finance on his own anyway, but thats probably moot. Within weeks of purchasing, he became seriously ill, an…
Something I noticed seeing Les Claypool a few weeks ago. Almost nobody was filming or taking captures. I’m talking at most I saw maybe 5-10 people in general admission with their phones up, and most of them were just snapping a quick pic. I see a lot of talk nowadays of people being annoyed at concert experiences because it’s just a sea of phones. I guess it depends on the scene, but if your at a conc…

A few days ago I posted and asked if the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse that I had been using looked ok. I got a lot of helpful feedback and a few suggestions to try the Maybelline FitMe foundation instead. I think it looks much better, but I am interested in hearing what you all think here.
