Travel adapters – do you prefer the “all in one” or individual?

Travel adapters – do you prefer the “all in one” or individual? I have a few of those US/UK/EU/AUS plug adapter bricks. They work fine as long as they stay in the outlet, and they aren’t grounded or fused for UK plugs. I was just curious if travelers prefer the individual ones for each plug type? submitted by /u/LoveOfSpreadsheets

LPT Label power adapters and any item you keep but won’t know what it is in 2 weeks. You can use a labeler, but even a piece of masking tape with “Norelco shaver” on a power adapter will save you future headaches. This can also be useful for a ton of items that come along with something, say the TV stand you keep but don’t use right now. When you find that in a year, along with a bunch of other crap, you will not remember what i…

Opinions on lens adapters as a means to save money?

Opinions on lens adapters as a means to save money? Hello, I’ve been getting more and more into wildlife photography and I would like in the coming year to make a jump into a high quality telephoto prime. I’m kind of locked into Sony right now, not that I regret it, but they do not have affordable telephoto primes. However, I was looking at the Canon EF 500mm f4 IS L USM with the Sigma EF to E mo…

LPT Take a power strip with you when travelling to avoid buying unnecessary and expensive travel adapters.

LPT Take a power strip with you when travelling to avoid buying unnecessary and expensive travel adapters. One of the best tips I’ve ever received for travelling is to pack a power strip in my case. That way I only need one travel adaptor and then I get access to plenty of easily accessible sockets as if I’m at home. I’ve recently upgraded my travel power strip to one with usb-c sockets and have now eliminated the need for separate chargers for my us…

Do I stay with Nikon (and invest more) or do I switch and use adapters?

Do I stay with Nikon (and invest more) or do I switch and use adapters? Hey everyone, I’m in a bit of a predicament. Currently I have a Nikon D7000 with the kit lens, a 50mm f/1.8, and a Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5. I am planning to buy a 70-200mm f/2.8 (used). Now here is where I am stuck: Since I have a Nikon and some lenses right now, I am thinking of buying the 70-200 for a Nikon, but the body is quite old, and I hope …

Is there any downside to using filter adapters?

Is there any downside to using filter adapters? Hello everyone, I’m planning to buy some filters for my photography (CPL and ND, mostly), but most of my lenses have different filter sizes and it would be pricey to buy one for each of them. So I thought it would be smarter to buy just one, the biggest filter size, and then get adapters for the lenses with smaller filter sizes (I can get those …

LPT: For international travels, get a universal charger instead of using adapters.

LPT: For international travels, get a universal charger instead of using adapters. For international travels, you can use USB charger which is connected to the wall power outlet with a cable ( e. G. Plug C7 or similar) instead of being directly plugged into the socket. This way you do not need to take bulky 110v/220v/240v adapters with you but instead get a cheap (2-5 USD) connection cable for each region you travel to. su…
