Accent wall or colour match?

Accent wall or colour match? Hey yall! We recently had this in-wall boot rack redone, and now we have to paint it. My concern is the colour match might be noticeable, so the other thought was to make it an accent wall from the trim line down. Suggestions? submitted by /u/Far-Resident-4835

Accent wall painting advice

Accent wall painting advice Hi there! Looking for some feedback about accent wall idea. I’m going to be painting the back wall in my office (Benjamin Moore – High Park). I was thinking about also painting the foyer wall in the same colour. Circled both in photo. Would this look okay? The foyer wall wraps around the bathroom door, and then the ceiling drops a foot which sep…

Should I leave this dark blue accent wall or get rid of it?

Should I leave this dark blue accent wall or get rid of it? I decided to paint an accent wall where I’m going to mount my TV but I’m starting to think it’s too dark for this small unit. The dark accent wall is also recessed making the area look even smaller imo. What do you guys think? submitted by /u/balmyze

Feedback on Living Room Layout with Teal Accent Wall

Feedback on Living Room Layout with Teal Accent Wall Just playing around with my living room setup (pictures attached, one chaise, one normal sofa) and could use some advice. I’m stuck with these app colors but thinking about going with bright different colours against the teal wall. Also, thinking about a floating shelf above the TV (placeholder in the pictures) because that wall feels too bare? …

Accent walls We did an interior design service for oddly shaped living and we asked the designer to do one with an accent wall and one without. We’re looking to paint it a rich dark green or even a neutral black. Which one looks more cohesive? submitted by /u/soypeanutnoodles

Does a round accent chair need to be fully on a rug?

Does a round accent chair need to be fully on a rug? I want to buy a round accent chair for my living room and it technically fits but it would have to be halfway on the rug. I know the front legs of a chair or sofa need to at least be on the rug but what about round chairs? Would it look weird if half of it was on it? Is there a rule about that with round chairs? submitted by /u/marshmall…

Recently painted some accent walls! Living room color is Mediterranean SW 7617 and bedroom color is Sun Bleached Ochre SW 9011 I would’ve done all the walls in the bedroom but we’re renting and have to paint it back when we move. I love how the gallery on that blue green wall turned out but I’m not sold on the bedroom… I’m not repainting anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I’ll learn to love it I sup…

First time homeowner. This is the front living room. I’m struggling because of the geometric accent wall. It’s making it hard for me to decide what pillows for the couch and art above the couch would work with it.

First time homeowner. This is the front living room. I’m struggling because of the geometric accent wall. It’s making it hard for me to decide what pillows for the couch and art above the couch would work with it. The couch is a new purchase. Everything else is a hand-me-down, Facebook marketplace purchase, or random assortment of purchases from years of renting apartments. I’m also not a fan of the coffee table but not confident what would look good in this space. The odd dog bed placement is because that’s where he likes to lay haha submitted by …

Accent islands

Accent islands We are redoing our kitchen and are trying to decide if we want to do a kitchen island that’s a different color than the rest of the cabinetry. We like the look of this, but I want to stay away from trends that won’t age well. Is this more or a “trendy” thing? Will we regret doing it in 10 years? submitted by /u/pascilia
