Any reason I shouldn’t pay 22k more to my mortgage over the next year to save 75k in interest and knock off 40months on its term? Basically I wondering if there is a better place to put that 22k. As far as I can tell, if I put that 22k toward the mortgage, it will save me 75k in interest and knock of 40months on the length of the loan. Of course it’s possible to turn that 22k into more than 75k in the next 40months, but anything as sure fire as putting it down on the mortg…
