Extended high season in Europe?

Extended high season in Europe? I lived few years ago in the French Riviera for quite some time and I remember that high season meant terrible crowds of tourists from July to August, but September and October were relatively calmer and actually perfect to travel around. Just returned for a short trip with family, and the cities (Nice, Cannes, Monaco,…) were packed!, hotels pa…

Bulgaria in September

Bulgaria in September Vi hiked in the seven lakes Rila national park, visited the Rila monastery and visited Plovdiv a beautiful and lively city. I would definitely recommend. The nature is stunning, the food is great and it’s really affordable. People were mostly really nice and friendly. submitted by /u/MrsMcPoyle

Why do people think it’s ok to watch videos/play music on their phones on planes etc without headphones?

Why do people think it’s ok to watch videos/play music on their phones on planes etc without headphones? I mean wtf? When did this become acceptable and who are these neanderthals anyway? What makes you think that the people around you want to listen to your entire YouTube playlist (which is invariably crap) for the duration of our journey? Didn’t your mothers teach you any manners? submitted by /u/MidtownJunk

US visa after visiting Iraq, Iran, etc.

US visa after visiting Iraq, Iran, etc. Hi! The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) or ESTA allows citizens of many countries to travel to the US without a need to obtain a US visa. However, in case a person entered one of the countries on the “US black list” such as Iran, Iraq, Syria, etc. before 2011 the person is not eligible for ESTA anymore and needs to apply for a US visa. Is there someon…

Is Jalisco safe? Hi. We’re supposed to go to a wedding in Jalisco. We’re American and have never been to Mexico and our Spanish is very basic. I took it in highschool. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has any safety tips or cautionary tales? I’ve read that we should “reconsider travelling” to Jalisco due to safety concerns. Is it really that bad? I’ll be h…

Ryanair changed my flight and none of the options they offered me were good. Is there something I can do?

Ryanair changed my flight and none of the options they offered me were good. Is there something I can do? I had a flight booked from Dublin to Sofia departing on the 9th of December (a Saturday) with the return on the 11th of December (a Monday). They changed it to the 8th of December (a Friday) to the 10th of December (a Sunday). It’s not a huge change, but to me it kind of is as I can’t take Fridays off of work as it’s a big day. I contacted their…

Yet another Petra post

Yet another Petra post We did the “backdoor” route from Little Petra, best route to take. It’s approx 16km to the main entrance, took roughly 5 hours with lots of pictures stops. Usually people take a Jeep for the first part in the desert from Little Petra to Monestary but I’m glad we didn’t as we were alone and the landscape is surrrel. submitted by /u/BidetTo…

Advice for Panama? My partner recently brought up the idea of going to Panama for a short trip from the states (4-5 days). I’ve done some preliminary research and most tourists sites focus on the canal/locks in Panama City. Are there any other areas, sites or activities you would recommend? submitted by /u/Mc_Kenny23

Have you ever had a holiday in your local town/city? My partner and I can’t afford travelling overseas or even interstate however the idea of acting like tourists in our local town is becoming more and more appealing.
