Batman The Animated Series was unlike any animated series of the ERA. Nothing on kids TV looked or sounded like this. Each episode had Oscar worthy music, the airbrushed quality of animation. There was also moments of SILENCE which was, pun intended, unheard of for kids TV. I’m constantly amazes that that this existed. So much of it goes against what kids tv of that era looked and sounded like. The bad guys used GUNS, not lasers. We saw blood every once in awhile. It was set in some odd noir background. There are long stretches without action or music. Back then kids tv had one purpose. To sell toys. So even shows…
