Is there a name for the kind of show that follows a “drifter” as they travel across the country?

Is there a name for the kind of show that follows a “drifter” as they travel across the country? Im looking for more shows that follow a drifter who goes on adventures and meets new people on their travels. Is there a name for this genre? It seemed more poular in the 70’s/80’s. Examples I have are the Incredible Hulk (1978), Highway to Heaven (1984), The A-Team (1983) and the Fellow Traveler (2023 and unfortunately not actually a real show)…

Zero Day on Netflix, thoughts? I heard the camera work and editing choices are super interesting, but some people told me the story isn’t really that engaging… thoughts? submitted by /u/Revolutionary_Queen1

It is an absolute outrage that 3rd Rock from the Sun isn’t streaming anywhere for people to discover Other than buying episodes on Apple or Amazon, 3rd Rock isn’t anywhere else. Not on Hulu, not on Peacock, not on Netflix- this is OUTRAGEOUS! Don’t they know we have been awaiting a message from the Big Giant Head now for decades! That is all. Proceed with your day, miserable humans. submitted by /u/MeaninglessGuy

Just finished Vice Principals because of recommendations from this sub…am I alone in thinking it’s not anywhere near as good as Eastbound and Down and The Righteous Gemstones?

Just finished Vice Principals because of recommendations from this sub…am I alone in thinking it’s not anywhere near as good as Eastbound and Down and The Righteous Gemstones? I was a bit disappointed tbh. The laughs per minute were very low, and the plot was just okay. it was still a solid show but within the context of watching it after seeing Danny McBrides other 2 shows first, my expectations were very high and it did not meet them. submitted by /u/trey1928

I am a heartless, emotionless person…. E8 of The Pitt broke me

I am a heartless, emotionless person…. E8 of The Pitt broke me I don’t want to say too much for risk of spoilers but man is this show incredible. The relentless pace in the 24 hour format plays so well in the ER. By this point you think you’ve seen everything but in comes this incident and it floors you. Just and incredibly moving hour of television. This show and severance are hands down the best of 25. Ba…

Was the Moldavian Massacre the reason “Dynasty” fell off the ratings?

Was the Moldavian Massacre the reason “Dynasty” fell off the ratings? I think the public felt fooled because nobody died except for Ali MacGraw (a mixed blessing) and she wasn’t even a regular presence on the show. Some thought the show killed off Alexis because Joan Collins didn’t do the first episode as protest for not getting a raise. I think other issues hurt the show like the spin-off, The Colbys, which dilu…

Sexy Beast (2024) – prequel to 2000 film – thoughts/discussion Just finished watching this series after watching the film and haven’t seen any discussion on here since it was announced/started airing so though it was worth making a post. Has anyone seen it and have any thoughts? I was a bit sceptical going in given the poor reviews and unlikelyhood of the series living up the original film, and the first ep…

James Marsden – Paradise

James Marsden – Paradise I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews about Paradise and decided to give it a shot. Just finished the first episode and I’m really surprised at how good of an actor James Marsden is becoming. I could never picture him in my head as portraying a mature presidential character but he pulls it off. His mannerisms and choices in small moments really surpr…
