Where to buy quality table lamps for nightstands that isn’t IKEA?

Where to buy quality table lamps for nightstands that isn’t IKEA? I see ikea recommended a lot for table lamps but I have enough furniture from them and I don’t want my home to feel like an IKEA store. My budget is flexible at $200. I like simple designs. Nothing fancy. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you redditors! submitted by /u/GeekyGuyBrooklyn

Need help with layout and furniture – decor suggestions welcome!

Need help with layout and furniture – decor suggestions welcome! As the title suggests, looking for advice on furnishing my primary living space! The space is broken up by a 6’ wide French door on one wall, and a large fireplace mantel on the other, making a “conventional” living room setup a little more difficult. The overall room dimensions are roughly 11’ W x 13.5’ L, although the fireplace-side wall is 2…

Can I mix and match wood in my dining set?

Can I mix and match wood in my dining set? Hi! Would it look OK to get these chairs for my darker dining room table? My floors are dark (3rd picture), and I was thinking of getting a natural jute rug. I was interested in lighting chairs bc I just bought a hutch that is light (4th pic) so I was trying to tie it all together. Alternatively, I can chalk paint the hutch. Appreciate the help …

Planning to add uppers over my buffet. In your opinions, will it look okay?

Planning to add uppers over my buffet. In your opinions, will it look okay? Right now we only have two upper cabinets because that’s all our layout will allow. I’m thinking adding uppers over our buffet table but I’m worried they’ll stick out too much and look out of place. Maybe shelves instead? Its really the only place I have available to put anything up. Do you think that’s a good idea? submitted by /u/Succ…

It is less about furnishings but more about building design. Do you have any recommendations of softwa…

Different door knobs/handles around the world

Different door knobs/handles around the world This is something I find really interesting. I live in Scandinavia. The door handles here are shaped so that you easily can get a good grip to open/close a door, a slim long design. But whenever I’ve watched American movies and they display the doors/handles it’s usually round knobs instead of these long, slim handles we have here. I went to a n…
