Living room layout with lots of doors and entrance way. Hi, I’m moving into a new apartment and would like some advice on living room layout. The paths of travel and the amount of doors makes this room a bit tough to layout aside from the obvious choice of couch between door and tv across the room. Maybe that is my best options but I wanted to see suggestions. I came up with the layout pictures wher…
ASID Contracts Hi all – does anyone have experience with ASID contracts? Looking at residential, but would be interested in commercial too. I am annoyed you can not preview them bore purchasing. I know they are copy written, but with the AIA, you can see and review them, but you purchase them once you execute them. (and watermarks disappear) I come from archit…
Pendant lighting help Mini kitchen refresh. The island is getting painted forestwood green: the rest of the cabinets will stay cream colored with nickel handles. I’ve decided on the west elm Henry pendant lights but should I do antique brass or dark bronze? Thanks! submitted by /u/Boymom1983
Colour for railing? Was planning on going with the same white as the baseboards (which aren’t installed yet), but would a different tone or colour look good for the railing trim? Flooring will all look like the stairs in coming weeks, Reno in progress! submitted by /u/anonbowman
Question on baseboard lighting I want to add warm led strip lighting with a diffuser to my living room that follows along the baseboards. Like the picture I added. There is top glow or bottom glow, I was thinking top glow. I added pictures of my living room: My question is, how much of my baseboards should I cover in lighting to get a nice warm cozy atmosphere. I think coveri…

I searched a lot of sites trying to do my own research but ended up confused so please be nice 😊. I enrolled in an associate degree program. I think that meets the requirements for the FX but for the rest, can I stop at the ass…

The each window is roughly 3′ tall and 3′ wide, and positioned 4′ above the floor. Ceilings are 8′. Hardwood floors. What should I do for wi…

Second guessing my approach to this bathroom. Originally wanted to go for a dark green subway tile look for the shower space, but I wonder if that makes the room overly monochromatic. What might be the best direction from here. Should I play it safe and go with white tile in the shower? https://preview.redd.it/2alga5fqp63d1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec63ec34607291b12f1bd61812ac75af488f49ae https://preview.redd.it/c37jo4fqp63d1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc5e121b788a157009f7a1b6a2cbd881849eae2b submitted by /u/Lisan-al-Gibby

Couch choices Hey everyone, I’m moving on my own for the first time and feel really lost on how to design my place or choose a couch color. The first photo is the model from the apartment. There’s 3 sofas I added as well and just wanting to see what other people think. I feel like grey is okay but not sure with the grey walls.. There’s no family members aroun…

I was thinking a matte white penny tile for the floor of the shower? Open to any and all suggestions! submitted by /u/movingaroundottawa

What should I start my prices at? How should I charge? I am currently working as a lead interior designer for my families build & design firm in Texas, and I did a few projects for a percentage of the house profit. I grew up in the industry so I jumped straight into it at 19 & I have now led 4 homes from sketching floor plans & elevations directly to the drafter, detailed elevations on interior & ex…
