What paint color would complement the wallpaper in this Victorian inspired room? I am looking to do an accent wall of this wallpaper with dark wood board and batten to match the furniture, but stumped on what color to paint the rest of the walls. I fear that just picking one of the colors from the paper would feel too matchy. Any suggestions? submitted by /u/SunnahBun
What can I add to this space? Open to suggestions around how to make this space feel less empty? The walls on either side of the fireplace are quite narrow so I have no idea what to do. Perhaps small pieces of art, plates or mini prints? submitted by /u/lmrnrbkh

Entryway wall I’m redoing the entryway part of the house but there’s like a huge gap on the wall (to the left of the table) and I have no idea what to put there. I feel like it just looks very empty and like something is missing. Im planning on hanging the mirror above the table and adding a white vase as well. submitted by /u/AdvantageNo1289 …

Zero space for shoes at entry way This is the space we are working with so the front door leads directly into the living room and stairs. I can figure out some shoe storage under the stairs as it is any open space but any suggestions for the entryway for our daily shoes? I also considered moving the TV and table to the opposite wall and move couch to create a living room space b…
Help me style this room This is the main dining room at my work and it needs some improvements. The guests often say it looks like a cafeteria, and due to the wood floors, it’s very echoey, leading to a very loud atmosphere. There is minimal decor and because most of the walls are windows, I’m stuck on how to improve the space. Big area rugs might help with the sound, …
Hi! I need some help trying to decide how to furnish my living room. Hello everyone, I just purchased my first house with my fiancee and we have this layout where a front sun room/closed porch leads into a large space that we think would be a good living room/den. We want to wall mount a Frame TV, but aren’t sure where it should go to maximize seating. The double wide opening leads to the porch, the door on the l…
Need help choosing light fixture Could someone give me advice on what sort of light fixture would look best here? I’m planning on getting a more colorful rug and chairs but I have no idea what light fixture to get to replace the ceiling fan. The connecting dining room has a swapped out brass light fixture from Crate and barrel that I love and I feel like they should match or ha…
What can I decorate these windows with? A bit of a unique situation! I am filming a short film in this space and will film from this angle. We will move all the furniture in this room away, so essentially we will see the full wall. I need to decorate the two square windows with other things otherwise it’ll look extremely empty, but I don’t have any ideas. I feel like photo frames will…
How can I redesign and decorate this unique living room? I am happy with the area around the TV, though the large wall could maybe do with some art. The rug is fine with me, though I sense that its color might not fit with the dark wood, brick, and eggshell-painted walls very well. My main issue is with the couch, which is old and I feel does not conform to the space very well. I’ve considered getting…

Need advice on living +dinning room! Hi I have a 14’5” X 14’3” living room, which I Alden need to put in a 6 seats dinning table. The kitchen to living room is half-wall, I am thinking to put a dinning bench next to the wall (like the second picture). But it still feels like the space is pretty narrow. Could you please give me some advice on how to arrange furnitures? Thanks! s…
Desperate for help with kitchen Would love some help with what to put on this wall and in this space! I was thinking a moveable kitchen island/cabinet/sideboard and some floating shelves above but I have no idea what color to do for either because the cabinets and wall color are hard to match and walls kind of look yellow in evenings. Should I do like a white buffet/sideboard …
Will this furniture work with my new bedroom? I’m planning to use this wallpaper for my bedroom. I like it, but it’s a bit darker than I had in mind. I’m aiming for a dark, cozy vibe with lots of warm light. The room gets plenty of natural light during the day since it has windows on three sides. So far, I’ve only bought the bed, which is similar to the one in the picture. Do you think the …
Couch Recommendations Hello! I am buying my first home with a closing in about 3 weeks. I have lived in an apartment for three years with an IKEA couch, and my first big furniture purchase for this home will be a functional, comfy, and beautiful couch — ideally a sectional— for my new large living room. Do any of you have a couch recommendation? No children yet, but …

Is this countertop front miter too large? And can they cut it after it’s installed? I asked for a front miter edge to my home bar countertop. The fabricator made it 5”. The wife immediately saw it and said it’s way too big. Not I’m thinking I f*cked up. Could it be cut to 2.5” now that it’s installed? I of course would pay for it, but is it worth calling them up and bringing them back out for this? submitted by /u/ajr…
What should I do to the walls to make the living room/dining room look less empty? I live in a condo and the kitchen flows into the dining area which is also the living room. I was initially thinking trims throughout the walls but that might be overkill. Suggestions on ideas? I like minimalist and modern submitted by /u/Ok-Willingness6763
