Is it possible to lock Casio Ex z42’s menu settings so it doesn’t reset after turning it off?

Is it possible to lock Casio Ex z42’s menu settings so it doesn’t reset after turning it off? I want to change things like the ISO, exposure etc but every time I turn the camera off then on they go back to how they were before (mostly in auto). Is there any way to save my settings to prevent that from happening, or do I just have to change it every time? submitted by /u/beehale

Which lens for a protest? I haven’t shot a protest in over a decade. I’m working with different equipment and can’t use my tried and true 24-70. Which would you use between a 15-45 or 18-135 ? Unfortunately both are variable aperture, just working with what I’ve got! submitted by /u/Chiamese

Continue buying 3rd party batteries or buy original batteries that is half the price of the Camera?

Continue buying 3rd party batteries or buy original batteries that is half the price of the Camera? I’ve been playing around with a Canon SX530 HS with 3rd party batteries and realizing that the batteries are a bit wonky (I spent $20 CAD for 2). The problem is that the price of a single Canon battery ($75 CAD + tax) is nearly half the price of the camera ($250 CAD + tax) Whereas I could get a preowned camera on MP for $200/$300. Should I buy…

Worth cleaning myself or sending off for a service? (fungus) Hi everyone, I’ve got a lens which annoyingly has quite a bit of fungal growth on the inside, a loose lens barrel, and a few scratches across the front element, and i’m wondering if it’s worth my effort to clean myself or if i should just pay to have it done professionally. alternatively there’s lenses on the second market like this one going at…

Is there any way to stop the GodoxV1 flash triggering while on camera?

Is there any way to stop the GodoxV1 flash triggering while on camera? Hi! I’ve been trying to figure out how to suppress/pause the flash on my Godox V1 from triggering while it’s still mounted on my camera (Sony A7iii) but to no avail. I’m wanting to take shots in relatively quick succession-at an event- with flash and then without, but want to avoid using the on/off switch for fear of damaging it in the long run….

Do you use Auto Settings on Lightroom? Hello all! I’m a videographer that has recently gotten more into photography. Just got hired for a corporate event for photos, took a lot of them. Is USD890 for a Nikon D500 and NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED lens worth?

Is USD890 for a Nikon D500 and NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED lens worth? My budget is (less than) USD1000. I’m looking to do wildlife photography (as a hobby) and I know 70-300mm is not the best but I just want nice photos if I’m close enough and if I’m not close enough, being able to see enough features to identify the animal is good enough for me (especially since I’m still a beginner). If this helps, most likely I…

Would two prime lenses with marginal differences in focal length provide the same level of versatility?

Would two prime lenses with marginal differences in focal length provide the same level of versatility? Example, a 30mm versus 35mm. I’m going to pull the trigger on buying new prime lenses soon for portrait photography. I will likely start with a 50mm, but smaller focal lengths like the ones above – as well as larger ones like 85mm – are also part of the plan. Speaking about prime lenses in general, not just the examples above, do small differen…

Wedding photographers, what do you tell your couples BEFORE the ceremony starts? As the first weddings in 2025 are coming up I’m re-writing the pep talk I give my couples on their big day. Everything about the photo job is clear (think of moodboards and shotlists) but I love to remind them about a few things: 1) Don’t let go of each other. The day will fly by, be sure to be at each others side. 2) Don’t look for me in the cr…
