What camera should I get next? I’ve had this Nikon D3100 since around 2011-ish, and it’s just about at the end of its career. The battery life is minuscule, and uploading all the photos manually to my computer takes longer than ever. I’ve been meaning to get a new one, but I can’t help but be overwhelmed by the options. I’ve now read up on hyperfocal distance and understand the relationship between focal length, aperture and depth of field. So based on t…

Exporting to Instagram; Resizing vs full resolution compression?

Exporting to Instagram; Resizing vs full resolution compression? I keep seeing people advising photographers to resize their photo exports in the desired aspect ratio, but I compared a resized vs full resolution photo and it’s absolutely night and day in terms of quality if you zoom in at all. Is the advice to resize before posting outdated? submitted by /u/BigBrainPolitics_
