Where to go from Florida?

Where to go from Florida? I’m In between jobs right now, and want too drive out of Florida. Solo trip for like a solid 8-10 days (give or take). I really like nature and beautiful hiking spots. Being born and raised in Tampa Fl, we only have pretty beaches. That shit gets old. If someone was to leave from Tampa, and maybe drive up the east coast or something, what would …

SE Asia – Is my 5-week itinerary completely unhinged? Okay hear me out. I’ve been wanting to go to China to take in some red tourism spots mainly. My work schedule means that I have about a 5 week block to play with so I’ve decided to try to see a bit of Cambodia and Vietnam as well. I have some extended travel experience but mainly around Europe where I sort of winged it a little bit. In Asia, I f…

Any recommended Japan tours?

Any recommended Japan tours? Hi, I’m looking for a short Japan trip, maybe 1 week to cover a few cities. Are there any recommended tour groups? Would be great to find one that includes everything like transport, hotels etc. I’m not interested in shared dorm rooms in a really budget style of travel, and I’m not interested in cruises. I can pay a bit more for comfort. sub…

Budapest – Shanghai – Tokyo with China Eastern Airlines

Budapest – Shanghai – Tokyo with China Eastern Airlines First of all sorry I’m asking in the wrong place. I have a few questions regarding an upcoming flight. I bought the tickets using kiwi and I haven’t seen anything mentioned there about a few things that I found later. The tickets are economy class, on kiwi i had to pay extra for luggage but some say that it should be included. Do you know if the…

Expedia canceled my flight, actually benefited me

Expedia canceled my flight, actually benefited me I booked a package vacation deal on Expedia few days ago. (hotel + flights) The departing and returning flights were booked by separate airlines (Aeromexico and Volaris). Today I called Expedia to confirm everything was booked, came to my surprise that they said AeroMexico canceled all passenger’s flights for that specific flight. This was weir…

Seaweed a big issue for Caribbean beaches in April/May

Seaweed a big issue for Caribbean beaches in April/May My wife and I are planning to visit a Carribean All-Inclusive in April/May (Riviera Maya or Dominican). We aren’t really All-inclusive people (our first time) but thought it would be a relaxing time. Both of us love being in the water/spending time on the beach (much more so than in the hotel pool). I noticed people mentioning seaweed washes up …

What to eat? I’m miserable. **edit: Thanks you guys for the huge response here, it’s clear I’m a bit of a goose for going so hard and expecting my body to be like “this is great, let’s do it again!”, naive of me… I know. What do you think of the phrase, “Vegas is like a cruise ship but on land”?

What do you think of the phrase, “Vegas is like a cruise ship but on land”? For me, I can see some things the two have a little bit in common, but I don’t think that phrase is accurate. Yes, they both have an artificial feel to them, but on a ship you’re a lot more limited. Saw this on social media and wanted to see what you guys think. Also, if you had to pick, would you rather go on a cruise or go to Vegas? subm…

If I ordered a ring online from the US shipped to Canada, paid tax on it on arrival, proposed, and my fiancée travels back to the US, does she declare that?

If I ordered a ring online from the US shipped to Canada, paid tax on it on arrival, proposed, and my fiancée travels back to the US, does she declare that? It was originally ordered from the US, so US taxes (AND Canada taxes) were already paid, right? And the receipt would show it’s from a US company shipped to Canada. Or am I misunderstanding? I’m not asking about “can you get away with smuggling stuff”, I’m asking the actual legal reality of it. submitted by /u/crimeo

Do you enjoy tours? When traveling it seems most people want to go on tours – walking tours, bus tours, museum tours, etc. I honestly hate tours, I find them slow and boring. I much prefer to explore on my own and learn about the place by reading about it before we go or as we go along. It feels very much like I’m in the minority on this, but how do others here fee…
