Findling the US 80s/90s/early 00s vibe Having grown up in Germany surrounded by American pop culture in the 90s, I’m planning a nostalgic tour of the US next year, hitting San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, and Denver. I’m looking for places that still capture that 80s/90s/early 2000s vibe in 2025. I’m thinking of places with well-worn leather booths, upscale rooftop…

Maui waters Feb vs August We took a 1 week trip to Maui last Feb (Feb 2024) with our 5 year old and 10 month old and had the best time. Unfortunately we didn’t do a lot beach going because the waters were just so rough. We stayed at Kaanapali and the waves were crashing so hard my 5 year old was even scared to go near the shore and grab some sand. We tried Baby Beach in …

The bus may be more scenic but I understand the flight would be quicker. Thank you very much! submitt…

Bocas del Toro, Panama, is dirty and disappointing.

Bocas del Toro, Panama, is dirty and disappointing. I really hate to say it, especially considering that Bocas del Toro is right next to Costa Rica, a country known for its strong environmental protections and values. I’m deeply disappointed by the lack of care for the environment here. In just three days, I’ve seen more plastic bottles and styrofoam waste than spending three weeks in Punta Uva a…
