I don’t know what to replace this plain white mantle board with. Just like the title says, I need to get rid of this plain whiteboard, but I don’t know what to replace it with. Bathroom renovation advice on tile I am changing the floor tiles in the shower of my primary bathroom as the current black floor tiles in the shower get stained so easily from the hard water (even with a filter!) Exposed ceiling joists – would you leave painted or strip to bare wood? We just bought this house. We love wood and saw a similar house that left the exposed joists bare, but stripping these seems like a lot of work. We are thinking to only strip the joists and leave the shiplap ceiling painted.
