I miss that aesthetic. It’ll be a lost art Computerized animation has its place and is no doubt cheaper but damn did we have to do away with the entire aesthetic of traditional ink & paint? Look at the shows I mentioned. An episode of Batman TAS such as “Heart of Ice” has beautiful hand drawn on cels animation. And it’s beautiful. Actual paint was brushed on those cels, one frame at time…

Interior Chinatown is one of the best shows that’s been on TV, for real. I hope that they get another season instead of being immediately cancelled. Every time I see a good show nowadays it’s almost a guarantee they’ll have max two seasons and then get cancelled. Ugh. Anyway, I love this show. A weird mix of fourth/fifth wall breaking and hilarious comedy that almost never comes in the form of jokes, with drama still there, pretty much everything I want in a show.
